It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. Especially here in Sacramento. With visits from Santa Claus, Hot Cocoa and Carolers…and of course the lights. Twinkling, sparkling and glowing lights for everyone to admire!
Our family is especially festive this time of year, and my children just love to “ooh and aahh” over the colorful lights on the trees and houses.
This week, we will be attending some of the “FREE” family fun events to continue to keep us in the holiday spirit.
The California State Capitols Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be on Tuesday, December 7th at 5:00pm.
Join others at the West Lawn of the State Capitol and watch Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and First Lady Maria Shriver as they light the tree. This really is a spectacular event as the tree holds more than 2,000 ornaments and 6,500 lights!
And if your family is a fan of American Idol (we haven’t missed an episode since Carrie), then you will be excited to know that David Archuleta will be performing at this event!
On Friday, December 10th at 6:00pm the West Sacramento Annual Tree Lighting Celebration will take place at the Civic Center (1110 West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento).
They will have music and refreshments for the family and Santa Claus will be making an appearance for some great photo opportunities!
Enjoy the light festivities and everything else that is merry this time of year!
