There is nothing better than local honey. If you love honey as much as I do, and would like to support our local farms, then buzz on over to Placer County’s Annual Honey Festival this Sunday, September 18th. Enjoy “all things” honey at this FREE all day event at Ron Feist Park in Granite Bay starting with a honey pancake breakfast ($5) at 8am benefiting Rocklin Boy Scout Troop 435. Or, if you are up for some exercise, register for the Honey Bear 3k walk, or 5k run whose proceeds benefit a local High School FFA program.
Later on in the day, there will be music and entertainment, food, crafts, booths, demos and food tasting. For the kids – honey bear races, a coloring contest, and rides.
Did I mention this is a FREE family event? For more information including a complete schedule of activities, click here.
We had a great time, and what a great park. Lots of great honey to taste and fun things for the kids
