By Alyssa Green

If you are a sweetheart, a sweetie or just have a sweet tooth, the California Candy Festival is the place for you (and me…because yes, I have a sweet tooth too!)  Located at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield just 45 minutes west of us here in Sacramento, this  fabulous family activity promises to keep you and your kiddos entertained from noon until 7pm on Saturday, September 24th.

There will of course, be plenty of sweet treats (afterall, it is a candy festival) as well as all-day music, award winning food trucks, chocolate and wine pairings, rides, and of course Jelly Belly Factory tours.  For the kids – pony rides, games and attractions, zip line, trackless train, bumper cars and more.  Click here for a complete list of kid friendly fun.

Admission prices are $10 for adults, FREE for kids 10 and under, and $5 for current or former military personnel.

Now, if you are lucky enough to be named “Candie” or any variation of that name (Kandy, Candice, Candida, etc.) YOU receive FREE admission to the festival and get to join in the world’s largest “Candies Party.”  You’ll also receive special treats and prizes for joining the Candies Court.

So, even if the California Candy Festival is not literally calling your name, I guarantee that you will have great fun while satisfying your sweet tooth at the same time!
