November 30, 2011

By Alyssa Green

With so many events going on in Sacramento this holiday season, it would be easy to overlook “Christmas Memories” at the California Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park.  But that would be a mistake!

Decked out for the holidays on the first two Saturdays in December, the mansion will be donned in period decor, with entertainment, live music, storytellers in period costume and visits by Santa and Mrs. Claus who will gladly sit for photos with your little ones.

From 10am to 4pm on December 3rd and 10th, the mansion is welcoming visitors of all ages to share the splendor of magnificent Christmas’ past.  Thirteen of California’s first families enjoyed the holidays in the mansion.  Visitors will now be transported back in time to experience the the splendor of the season and share the holiday traditions of the state’s past governors.

Admission:

Adults are $6, children 6-17 are $4, and children under 5 are FREE.
