A holiday favorite- The Nutcracker comes to Sacramento, along with the popular Children’s High Tea Event with cast members from the ballet!

Christmastime means candy canes, cold weather, warm smiles and of course- Sugarplum Fairies!
What little girl and boy doesn’t’ have dreams of sugarplums dancing, marching toy soldiers, snowflakes and the magic that only this time of year can bring?
I don’t think anyone could argue that the classic ballet “The Nutcracker” is one of the most beloved holiday traditions.  And once again, the Sacramento Ballet is proud to feature Ron Cunningham’s “The Nutcracker” here in Downtown Sacramento at the Community Center Theater.
Be transported into a magical world with live music performed by the Sacramento Philharmonic. The dancing, characters and spirit of the holiday season will be a perfect holiday treat for your entire family.

I’m especially excited to go to the Nutcracker this year- as I’m planning on taking my four year old little girl. For the first time. She is “All Girl” and I can’t wait to see her expression when she watcher the Sugar Plum Fairy dance across the stage. Absolutely priceless and probably the best Christmas gift I will ever receive!

And on December 11th, if you have your own little “girlie girl”, you may want to sign up for the popular children’s High Tea event. Now I say for the “girlie girls”- but I guarantee I will also be bringing along my little boy to this event J .
At 3:30pm in the Convention Center exhibit hall, step into a Winter Wonderland and join the characters from the Nutcracker for delectable tea treats, tea, punch and coffee. Souvenir photos and memory books will be available to have your favorite cast members sign autographs.
Tickets to this event are $20- please check website for availability.

The Nutcracker Ballet begins on December 9th at 7pm.  Show times run from December 9th-23rd. Tickets are $15-$69.  Check their website or call for ticket information and performance times.
