Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Celebrate by taking your kids to one or two Valentine themed activities here in Sacramento. Here’s what’s going on:
Join our beloved Sacramento Zoo animals for the I heart Sacramento Zoo event on Sunday, February 10th from 9am to 4pm. This fun day, which is organized by the Sacramento Zoo teen volunteers includes valentine-themed animal enrichments, informative talks and activity tables. All activities included in general admission.
Crocker Art Museum
Wee Wednesday: Love Fest – Children ages five and younger and their grownups are invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day at this special Wee Wednesday. Enjoy the sweet and folksy tunes of singer-songwriter Charlie Hope, 2012 winner of a JUNO Award and an Independent Music Award. Children will make special Valentine’s gifts and leave valentine hearts for their favorite artworks in the galleries. Free with Museum admission.
Sacramento Public Library
Valentine’s Day Gifts for Teens – Make a Valentine’s Day duct tape rose using candy kisses for that special person in your life. You will also have time to make a super, duper Valentine’s Day card to go along with your gift. All materials and instructions will be supplied by library staff. See you there!
