This Saturday, March 24th– lace up your running shoes, bring the family out to William Land Park and join others at Sacramento’s 4th annual Donut Dash. 4 Miles and 4 donuts to benefit the Child Life Program and Sutter Children’s Center.
Now this is the race for me! First of all, you start and finish in beautiful Land Park (not a bad way to start your Saturday morning), then you can run, jog or walk 2 miles through the park to Maries Donuts on Freeport Blvd (a Sacramento favorite) and eat 4 donuts (or 6 donut holes) and then run, jog or walk the 2 miles back to the finish line.
All proceeds from this race will go to support the Child Life Program at Sutter Children’s Center. It will help to pay for art supplies, toys, movies, games and anything else to help children smile while they are admitted in the hospital.
For more information on the cause and to register (or just donate), please visit their website.
So bring out the family- strollers and furry family members on leashes are welcome. Have some donuts and get in a bit of exercise for a great cause!
