The Sacramento Children’s Museum Is Celebrating Their 1st Anniversary – Win A Family Pass!

Last year at this time we were extremely excited about the opening of the new (and long anticipated) Sacramento Children’s Museum.  Although somewhat small, the museum did not disappoint.  Sacramento area children love all that the museum has to offer.

Some of the fun  includes experimentation in “Water Ways”
and “Airways,” dressing up in “My Neighborhood,” getting creative in “My Studio,” discovering gravity, friction and motion in “Raceways,” weekly story time and sing-alongs, and exploration in “Baby Bloomers,” a play area for children 3 and under.  Oh, and who can forget the amazing giant Lite Brite?  Ah…so much fun!

Well, it’s been a whole year since opening and we congratulate the SCM on a successful first year!  In celebration, the nice folks over at the museum have given us (2) family passes to give away to a couple of our lucky readers.  But first, let me tell you what’s going on in celebration during the month of August.

  1. Our boy love the “air tube” most at the museum! They spent hours playing with it the last time we were there. Thanks for a great museum!!

  2. We haven’t been to the museum but we would love to go. It looks like so much fun and I am sure my son would have a blast. I hope we win these.

  3. We were there on the museum’s opening day celebration and have been going ever since! My son absolutely LOVES the art studio and the recycled materials provided for the crafts there. He can spend hours just in that area alone. We’ve attended the Cultural Connections classes in the past – he particularly enjoyed the Egyptian crafts. Love the opportunity to win a family pass :).

  4. My daughter loves all the activities but she spent most of her time in the playhouse. She would put the babies to bed and then pretend to cook some food while taking a phone call. Just like her momma. The runner up is probably the dress up area. She just loved pretending to be a mailman, a fire fighter, and a police officer. It’s money well spent to watch your child’s imagination in action.

  5. My son’s favorite part of the museum was dressing up as a postal carrier and delivering the mail to all of the mail boxes through out the museum. My daughter’s favorite part was crawling around and exploring the cute and baby-friendly play area just for little ones. Great fun!

  6. My son’s favorite part of the Sacramento Children’s Museum is the Water Ways. Or maybe he likes the Airways or the My Neighborhood the best. He is always so fascinated by it all. We can spend hour after hour there. He loves the raceways as well and it inspired us to build raceways at home.

I know this, his least favorite part is always LEAVING. Big fit thrown every. single. time.
