“The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tommorrow there’ll be sun”…. What girl out there doesn’t love the Red Headed Little Orphan Annie? I know I have personally been serenaded multiple times with a 5 year old rendition of “Tomorrow”. And luckily, this weekend I will have the opportunity to take my own little miss “drama queen” to experience her favorite movie on the “live stage”.
Runaway Productions is proud to present the classic 1930’s musical hit Annie. Watch as Little orphan Annie charms the hearts of all, while “Daddy Warbucks” saves her from the embittered Miss Hannigan and the run down orphanage that she lives in.
This is going to be a great show for adults and children alike. This is not part of thier Storybook Theater Series, but a part of thier Broadway series. So young children (those who can’t quite sit still) probably wouldn’t benefit from it as much as the older children (or those of us adults who really are kids “at heart”). Showtimes will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2pm starting opening night- this Friday, November 9th and running through December 2.
Tickets can be purchased online at thier website and prices ranges from $15-$22.
If you haven’t seen a show at Runaway Stage Productions, this would be a great opportunity to experience our local theater. What a better way to start off the holiday season but by watching a true classic, enjoy the live orchestra and sing along with little orphan Annie to get you in the holiday spirit.
And if you would like to win tickets to this performance, we are giving away a pair to one lucky reader. Please comment on this article and a winner will be announced on Friday, November 9th. Good luck and remember…. “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”.
