Thanksgiving is just around the corner… and with the turkey leftovers, the next best thing to look forward to (or avoid) is Black Friday. You either dread the thought of shopping on this day, or you wait all year long for the rush of the crowds, sales and Christmas cheer. However you choose to spend your “Black Friday”- there is always time to relax and enjoy some “high tea”. And if you haven’t had an opportunity to visit A Dash of Panache in Roseville, this may be the perfect time to “slow down” and get ready for the holiday rush at thier Black Friday Harvest High Sitting.
“The French Deco Tea Parlor is the only true tea parlor in Roseville and the only French-deco Parlor in Northern California. Decor includes glamorous designs with black tablecloths, white doilies, clear crystal plates, our Vanity Closet (for dress-up fun), and highly rated courses of delicious gourmet food.”
They offer afternoon tea sittings that range from tea and scones, a light lunch tea with petite sandwiches and desserts, a luncheon tea, high tea and a brunch tea.
Pricing ranges from $8.95 per person to $23 per person.
I absolutely love playing dress-up with my little girl and we always have fun at our own tea parties in our backyard. But now that she is 5 ( a little more careful with the “real tea cups”) I’m looking forward to a “mommy-daughter date” at A Dash of Panache. And even though my little “girlie-girl” is the pickiest eater around, I’m sure she will devour the scones with Devonshire cream. And if not, then the Vanity Closet full of hats, boas and jewelry that she can dress up in will make her smile.
They offer a wide variety of dress-up accessories to make the experience more enjoyable…and full of laughs!
Not only do they offer the afternoon tea sittings, but they also have an upscale café and ice cream parlor that doesn’t require reservations.
This is a great place to host birthday parties and events…you can treat your little princesses to a day of elegance and fun. Call ahead for reservations and more information regarding parties. And if you have a group of preschoolers (4-6 kids) they will host a story time for your group and the moms (or dads) can sit back in the café and relax. Call ahead for dates and availability for your group.
Again, if you are looking for something other than the rush of the shopping mall on “Black Friday”, then call ahead to make a reservation for thier Harvest High Sitting. Enjoying pumpkin scones, mushroom soup, quiches and the best the season has to offer sounds a bit more fun that standing in lines at the mall… at least to me it does!
