7/5 – 7/6 – Folsom Pro Rodeo – Join for nightly rodeo action and a spectacular fireworks show at the 53rd Annual Folsom Pro Rodeo. The All-American celebration features an explosive nightly in-arena fireworks show designed especially for rodeo fans. There’s plenty of Wild West action including cowboys, bucking broncs, and massive bulls with an attitude!
7/5 – 7/7 – Something’s Fishy at the Discovery Museum – Something fishy is going on at the Discovery Museum. The beautiful fish tank in the Nature Discovery Room will inspired you to learn a little more about these aquatic stars. Check out a collection of fish x-rays, view the live fish, visit the pond with wild fish living in it, and make a woven fish mat to take home.
7/5 – 7/7 – The Little Mermaid, Jr. at the Sutter Street Theater – In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.
7/6 – International Celebration at Fairytale Town – Celebrate the diverse culture of Sacramento with exciting dance and musical performances on the outdoor Mother Goose Stage! Local artists perform live as they showcase unique dances from around the world. Performances feature Chinese lion dancers & drums, Scottish highland dancers, ballet folklorico, and much more.
7/6 – American River the Beautiful at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center – Come celebrate the beauty of the American River this 4th of July weekend. Join a Naturalist for a walk and learn about this historic and beautiful waterway.
7/7 – Leapin’ Lizards at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center – Skinks, blue bellies, and alligator lizards, oh my! Come meet some resident lizards and find out what makes these cold-blooded critters so amazing.
