Last night, Disney on Ice came back to Sacramento with their newest spectacular “Passport to Adventure”.   Showing October 9- October 13, this is an opportunity not to be missed!  Your family will be transported into the enchanting worlds of some of Disney s most beloved classics!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to take my 6 year old daughter with me on a “mommy- daughter” date last night.  As with any young child, she is obsessed with all things Disney!  Princesses, Minnie Mouse, Goofy… you name it, and she still squeals in delight to all of her favorite characters.  So as we entered the arena, she was so happy to see that not only was Mickey, Minnie and Goofy going to be there- but Princess Ariel, Lilo and Stitch and even Tinkerbell…It was a great start to an amazing evening!

As always, the wonderful world of Disney did a fantastic job in transporting the audience from our seats into the enchanting wolds of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Lilo & Stitch in this sightseeing spectacular!

We explored the Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa; voyaged “under the sea” with Ariel and all of her aquatic friends; traveled to Hawaii to visit Lilo and Stitch and toured London with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, before flying off to Never Land and encountering Captain Hook and his gang!

I was mesmerized by the graceful ice skaters and then on the edge of my seat at some of the amazing stunts they were doing!  My daughter was singing along to the familiar Disney songs, as I was dancing in my chair to the classic rock-and- roll that was incorporated into the performance.. it was just a magical evening that we both were a little disappointed when the show was finally over.

When I asked my daughter what her favorite part of the show was- I thought for sure that Princess Ariel was going to be at the top of her list.  She said “All of It”, and that she loved watching Peter Pan “fly” through the air, the “aliens” from Lilo & Stitch come down from their “rocket ship” and of course… how beautiful Ariel was “dancing” along the ice!

With all things Disney- you can guarantee not to be disappointed and become completely transported into another world.  With the use of unbelievably talented skaters, gorgeous costumes and the fantastic set designs- you will be in awe as the show literally takes you into these Disney stories.  You will even be surprised at the enormous Crocodile at the end of the show who finally takes out Captain Hook!

My daughter woke up this morning with a huge smile on her face and now wants to become a professional ice skater!  Thank you Disney for helping my child seek out new dreams and desires.  I’m not sure I’m ready for ice skating lessons quite yet- so maybe we will just stick with singing and dancing in our front living room for the time being.
