Now thru 12/8 – Tall Ship Hawaiian Chieftan – The Hawaiian Chieftain, which specializes in living history education programs for young people, is scheduled to make a visit to Old Sacramento. The tall ship, which is 103 feet, nine inches long with a main mast rising 75 feet from the water, will arrive soon, docking upriver of the Tower Bridge.
11/8 – Opening Day of the Downtown Ice Rink – The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink has a long history on The Kay. The rink was
first established in 1991 by the City of Sacramento. The Downtown Sacramento Partnership assumed operation and management of the rink soon after with the goal of creating a signature holiday experience for the region. Downtown Sac has been a holiday destination ever since.
11/9 – Nightmare Before Thanksgiving Roller Derby Mayhem – Don’t miss the home team championship as the Sacred City Derby Girls take on The Donna Party, Midtown Maulies, The Roseville TrainWreckers in a number of round-robin bouts. Join us for one last night of live Roller Derby Mayhem.

11/10 – Salmon Stroll at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center – Come join a naturalist for a stroll to the American River in hopes of catching a
glimpse of the migrating salmon. Learn about these amazing anadromous fish and their remarkable life cycle.
11/11 – City of Sacramento Veteran’s Day Parade – You don’t want to miss this “Proud to be an American” themed parade! Come out to celebrate a Veterans Day like no other. There will be a children’s carnival and multiple food trucks that will keep you wanting more.
11/11 – Veteran’s Day at the California State Railroad Museum – To honor their service and celebrate the patriotic holiday, California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum are proud to offer veterans and active military personnel complimentary excursion train rides on the Sacramento Southern Railroad, plus complimentary museum admission on Veteran’s Day. With
patriotic music playing aboard the trains, veterans and active military personnel are encouraged to wear their uniforms with pride.
