4/5 – Sutter Children’s Center wellness Festival at Fairytale Town – Enjoy fun games, free play, gardening activities, health screenings, and more at this celebration of active and healthy living. Sutter’s medical personnel will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on healthy childhood development.

4/5 – Earth Fest Party for the Planet at the Sacramento Zoo – It’s a party for the planet! Learn how to protect and preserve the earth with environmental, wildlife and conservation organization. During the day, visit EdZOOcation Stations to explore animal bio-artifacts; participate in storytelling and activities in the Discovery Room; come face-to-face with outreach animals, or listen as keepers present enrichment talks in the afternoon.

4/5 – “The Cat Who Chose to Dream” presentation and book signing by local children’s author Loriene Honda at the California Museum.  Advance tickets required; free parking across the street.

4/5 – Westlake Charter 9th Annual International Festival – Come on down and celebrate the cultural diversity of Natomas at this festival. Feast your eyes on amazing cultural booths from around the world with ethnic cuisine, music and activities.  Come try your luck dessert walk and win some tasty treats!

4/5 – 4/6 – Museum’s on Us with Bank of America – If you are a Bank of America or Merril Lynch card holder , you can receive FREE admission into the California Museum and the Crocker Art Museum this weekend,

4/5 – 4/6 – Goldilocks presented by Sacramento City College’s Storytime Theatre  –  with a modern twist! In this production, Goldilocks is a modern teenager with access to a credit card and a lousy sense of direction! Watch her crazy encounters with a wolf, bears and other furry creatures of the forest.

4/5 – 4/6 – Puppet Show: Tha Adventures of Sir Enamel at Fairtytale Town – Puppet Art Theater Company presents a special wellness-themed show, The Adventures of Sir Enamel in the Children’s Theater. This fun tale that encourages dental health is made possible in part by ScholarShare College Savings Plan.

4/6 – California Railroads Presentation at Sacramento Central Library – Families and children are invited to a fascinating program on California Railroads. A short film and interactive presentation will reveal abandoned granite tunnels, stunning trestles, gigantic cuts, and breathtaking scenery of the railroad from Sacramento to Donner Summit. You can also stay after the presentation for a craft and playtime with toy trains!

Thru 4/13 – Adventures of Sherlock Holmes at the B Street Theater – This will be a rollicking comic adventure not to be missed! Follow the amazing Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick Dr. Watson as they trek all over England, meet Charles Darwin, encounter a host of Druids, and match wits with the evil Dr. Moriarty.
