A Kid’s Perspective on Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Legends

By Alyssa Green

My family and I were fortunate enough to get tickets to this weekend’s Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus performance Legends I was super excited…until I realized that I had a conflict.  I was supposed to be somewhere else during the show.  Darn!  Well, my family went without me and instead of me writing up a review, I decided to have my 11-year-old son write it.  Brilliant right?  If you want to know the truth about something, just ask a kid.  So, here’s his truthful review.  Enjoy.

“Who doesn’t love the circus? I surely do! The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus brought us Legends and entertained thousands.  It had many performances, such as the Globe of steel (dirt bikers riding in a steel globe), lions and tigers doing tricks, dogs jumping through hoops, goats jumping over llamas, dogs jumping over llamas, trapeze performances, several dance performances, and many more.  I just can’t remember them.  My most favorite event was when one of the dancers jumped 10 feet high and jumped through the hoop.  I thought it was amazing how he could do that.  It was my first circus and I hope to see more in the future.”  – Zachary, age 11

Legends performances are showing through tomorrow, Sunday, September 14, 2014.  Click here for more information.
