Win Tickets to Fairytale Town’s Winter Wonderland

December 1, 2014

Winter Wonderland at Fairytale Town 3

The holiday season in Sacramento is really quite enchanting.  Old Sacramento is decked out in festive decor and features the city of Sacramento’s Christmas tree as well as the nightly productions of the Theatre of Lights.  A few blocks away, visitors can ooh and aah over the beauty of California’s official Christmas tree at the State Capitol building, skate to their heart’s content at the seasonal Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink or enjoy the beauty of massive Chinese lanterns at the debut of Global Winter Wonderland at Cal Expo. Well, winter festivities are also descending upon Sacramento’s favorite storybook park, Fairytale Town.

For the two weekends before Christmas, Fairytale Town will transform into a winter wonderland that will include holiday lights, festive decorations, Santa Claus himself, two of his favorite reindeer and even snowfall! Visitors will enjoy arts and crafts activities, vendors selling holiday treats, strolling entertainers including Ebenezer Scrooge from the holiday tale “A Christmas Carol,” Victorian carolers and characters from the Sacramento Ballet’s “The Nutcracker.” Of course, children will also be able to enjoy all the other usual fun features of Fairytale Town like the Crooked Mile, Farmer Brown’s Barn and the Little Engine that Could. Here are the details:

I would love to give my 2 boys a chance to experience something like this. My oldest has been asking about snow since he has never experienced it really and would bring joy to their hearts. This holiday season has brought many obstacles for our family to overcome and we could really use a little bit of a fairy tail in our lives.

My two year old would love to visit fairy tale town for winter wonderland. His first fairytale town “event” was Halloween and we had a blast. My normally reserved little boy lit up with all of the activities and he was very active and outgoing. I hope to attend the winter wonderland event and for him to come out of his shell again. It will be only our 2nd event at Fairytale Town so I’m not sure what to expect, but I do hope we’ll be able to win the tickets and attend 🙂
