It’s officially spring! And with the longer days and warmer evenings comes the festivals. Sacramento is lucky to host festivals of all sorts; everything from boats, jazz, art, food and more. To kick off the spring frenzy, the Sacramento Food Film Festival is back in town and better than ever.
Beginning on March 19-29, you can enjoy food and food-related movies at different locations throughout the Sacramento area. Events will be held anywhere from parks to restaurants with the admission ranges from FREE to $70.
Some of the upcoming events include an “Urban Farm Bus Tour and Pop up Picnic in the Park”. Enjoying live music and short films on urban farming at McClatchy Park. They will have local food trucks with healthy food items for sale.
Other venues include the Tsakopoulos library, Frank Fats catering facility, Chocolate Fish Coffee roasters and many more. Food selections range from food trucks, local restaurants, breweries and even chocolatiers!
And for a fun family evening out, on Friday March 27 at the Clunie Community Center (601 Alhambra Blvd) the Sacramento Food Film Festival will be showing Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Dinner will be served by Selland’s Market Café (spaghetti, salad and French bread- perfect for the whole family.) And for dessert, a slice of blueberry pie, inspired by the character Violet Beauregarde – a great ending to a great meal. There will even be a “Golden Ticket” giveaway with prizes. This will be an event not to be missed!
