Fairytale Town celebrates its 15th annual ScholarShare Children’s Book Festival, the largest early childhood literacy event in Sacramento with back-to-back readings and presentations from authors and illustrators on the Mother Goose Stage. Who’s going to be there, you ask? Well, if you’ve got children, it’s likely that you can recite from memory, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. The author of this beloved children’s book, Laura Numeroff, will be at Fairytale Town this weekend to entertain fans and introduce her latest book, Raising a Hero, scheduled to be released on Oct. 15, 2015.
Come join the fun, for FREE! In addition to author readings and autographs, children will be able to shop at Fairytale Town’s official bookseller booth, Time Tested Books, enjoy two musical storytelling presentations, “Peter and the Wolf”, and “Rhythms to Stay, Rhythms to Play”, and experience hands-on literacy activities throughout the entire weekend.
Giveaway: If you would like a chance to win a signed copy of If You Give A Mouse A Cookie and a Fairytale Town prize pack (park admission for 4, magic key and plush Humpty Dumpty doll), check out the other authors who will be at the festival, and then come back here and tell us which author your kids would love to hear in person. A random drawing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015.
