“Take me out to the ball game, Take me out to the crowds”- this tune is being sung across the nation as fans everywhere are wearing their favorite team colors. If you are a native Californian, then I’m sure you cheer on the Black and Orange or the Blue and White.
Even if you are not a baseball fan, you know that opening day of baseball season has come and we have kids of all ages playing everything from T-ball and little league up to the Majors.
With our crazy El Nino weather, we have had many of our little league games cancelled this year. Instead of letting our little slugger kick back and not practice his batting skills, we have been enjoying the convenience of Arena Softball– an indoor softball field with batting cages of varying speeds.
Arena Softball is located at 8288 Industrial Avenue in Roseville. They host leagues, tournaments and special events featuring two 10,000 square ft. fields and 12 batting cages.
What sets them apart from the basic batting cages you can visit is that they offer a family friendly sports bar and restaurant that features dining options for everyone in your group.
Not only do they have the batting cages and softball fields, they also have a small arcade that the kids love.
The batting cages offer great practice for kids of ages. With six batting stations and 12 machines, you have complete control over the baseball, choosing fast-pitch or slow pitch to fit your level and abilities.
Rentals are only $35 for 30 minutes and $65 for 60 minutes, or you can choose to purchase batting cage time by the round. Cages are $2.50 per round and one round is equal to 17 pitches.
Arena Softball is a great destination for the entire family. If you don’t want to make the trek out to Roseville, there are other batting cage locations around the area. Here is a quick list of some of those cages:
As they say in the Majors….”Play Ball!”
