Local Malls with Kid Zones

Westfield/ Downtown Plaza 547 L Street, Sacramento

This outdoor mall is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento. You can shop and stroll over to Old Sacramento or the capitol in the same afternoon. Some of the stores of interest are for those of you with kids are: Gymboree, Gap Kids and Claire’s. They also have an outdoor play area for the younger children.

Arden Fair Mall 1689 Arden Way, Sacramento

This mall is larger and has many more options for the shopper than downtown plaza. Some that may interest those kids: Abercrombie Kids, Disney Store, Pottery Barn Kids, Children’s Place, Build-a-Bear, Stride Rite and more. They have a newly built “Kids Adventure Zone” located in the food court. Large and soft climbing structures for play time, hand sanitizers and plenty of seating options surrounding the play area make it a nice destination for a coffee stop and to get those kids moving after a morning of shopping! They also have a beautiful carousel that is sure to make any kids squeal with delight!

Sunrise Mall 6196 Sunrise Mall, Citrus Heights

One of our oldest malls- but still has plenty of shopping if you are in the area. For the kids, every Thursday they offer a “Kids’ Adventure Club” in the center of the mall. They host a No-Cost weekly playdate geared toward the ages of 0-5. Every week is different and can vary from Story Time, Arts and Crafts, Games and even recently they had an appearance from a friendly Leprechaun!

Westfield Roseville Galleria 1151 Galleria Blvd, Roseville

Sacramento Area’s newest and most updated shopping venue. The Roseville Galleria has plenty of options for you and your kids with shopping opportunities: Gymboree, Janie and Jack, Justice, Love Culture, Pumpkin Patch, Disney…you name it… they pretty much have it!

Due to a recent fire and rebuilding, the play area is still under construction. They do have a gorgeous carousel for the kids near the food court. And if you have little ones, they do have the best Family Lounge with private rest areas, changing stations and nursing areas.
